Peer Review Process
Manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Exercise Therapy and Rehabilitation (JETR) are evaluated for scientific, methodological, and ethical quality by expert reviewers following editorial screening.
Compliance with international reporting guidelines appropriate to the study design is an integral part of the peer review process. In addition to evaluating the scientific content and methodological quality of the manuscript, reviewers are expected to assess its compliance with the relevant reporting guideline (e.g., CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, CARE, STARD, or COREQ).
The relevant reporting guideline checklists submitted by authors during manuscript submission may be provided to reviewers as part of the evaluation process. Reviewers assess whether the required items specified in the applicable reporting guideline have been reported adequately, completely, and transparently in the manuscript.
If deficiencies in compliance with the relevant reporting guideline are identified, reviewers may request appropriate revisions or additional information from the authors. Compliance with applicable reporting guidelines is one of the criteria considered in the editorial decision-making process.
Hakem Değerlendirme Süreci
Journal of Exercise Therapy and Rehabilitation (JETR)’a gönderilen makaleler, editöryal ön değerlendirmenin ardından alanında uzman hakemler tarafından bilimsel, metodolojik ve etik açıdan değerlendirilir.
Makalelerin çalışma tasarımına uygun uluslararası raporlama kılavuzlarına uyumu, hakem değerlendirme sürecinin bir parçasıdır. Hakemlerden, makalenin bilimsel içeriği ve metodolojik kalitesinin yanı sıra ilgili raporlama kılavuzuna (CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, CARE, STARD, COREQ vb.) uygunluğunu da değerlendirmeleri beklenmektedir.
Yazarlar tarafından makale gönderimi sırasında sunulan ilgili raporlama kılavuzu kontrol listeleri (checklists), gerektiğinde hakemlerin değerlendirmesine sunulur. Hakemler, ilgili raporlama kılavuzunda yer alan gerekli unsurların makalede yeterli, eksiksiz ve şeffaf biçimde raporlanıp raporlanmadığını değerlendirir.
Raporlama kılavuzlarına ilişkin eksikliklerin tespit edilmesi durumunda hakemler, yazarlardan gerekli düzeltmelerin yapılmasını veya ek bilgi sunulmasını talep edebilir. İlgili raporlama kılavuzlarına uygunluk, editöryal karar sürecinde dikkate alınan değerlendirme ölçütlerinden biridir.
